Marvic Salminen-Morillo received her law degree from Santa Maria University in Caracas, Venezuela in 1997. Admitted to the Venezuelan Bar, she is a member of the InpreAbogados (National Institution of Lawyers of Venezuela).
In 2001, she served as a Legal Counsel for the District Attorney’s Office before the Supreme Court of Justice of Venezuela. With a desire to further her knowledge of law, Mrs. Salminen-Morillo came to Minnesota to attend Hamline University in St. Paul. She obtained her LL.M and Masters in Public Administration in 2003. Upon graduation, she worked with a local law firm assisting with various aspects of immigration matters before returning to Venezuela in 2005.
From 2005 through 2008, Mrs. Salminen-Morillo served as Chief Counsel for the Ministry of Education of Venezuela, focusing on labor and employment litigation. Marvic returned to Minnesota in 2008 and has concentrated her efforts into immigration law, volunteering for both Centro Legal, Inc. and the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, gaining valuable experience with U-Visa filings amongst other kinds of petitions.
Mrs. Salminen-Morillo speaks both English and Spanish fluently and will bring her vast wealth of knowledge and experience to assist clients at Paschal Nwokocha Law Offices.
